Imagine if I had magic the things I’d do,
Anything to make you smile my dear friend.
Your dreams, your hopes, your desires,
would all come true if I could give that to you.
On cold days, I’d tie a rope around the sun
and pull it closer so you’ll always be warm.
I’d fly to the moon and reach up into the stars
Just to bring you back something special.
Because you are special, more than you believe
You deserve wonders, precious and unique.
Sadly I am just a simple girl and I have no powers
But I can try in other ways to give you happy days.
I can follow you with a blanket and an umbrella
To keep you warm and dry when there’s rain.
I’ll make you peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.
And I can heat a can of soup like nobody else.
You can laugh at my jokes, sarcasm and misfortune
And I can hold your hand when you are sad.
Goodnight hugs, every night. Morning cuddles too.
I don’t have much but what I do I would give to you
