Jealousy...
Watch while it destroys me.
As it wraps its hands around my throat,
my eyes are pleading...
just...
just choke.
So thrilled for you,
you and your happy ending.
Even if it means I lost my company,
and now I'm stuck here alone.
Alone in my misery.
But I wont dwell,
and I like to pretend I'm well.
So I grab my guitar and head to the ocean.
I'll stand in the sand,
and write you a love-song.
I'll sing it loud
as the waves crash over me.
Saltwater disguises the crying.
And I can make you believe,
that I am not heartbroken.
Not that it matters.
After-all,
in the end it's just pain.

Blood flows from our wrists,
Making our hands turn into fists.
We only feel the pain and sorrow,
Have we given up hope for a better tomorrow?
The rope is hanging from the ceiling,
Helping us end that miserable feeling.
The pills are scattered across the floor,
Maybe we need to swallow just one more?
Others might refuse to see the cruelty of life,
While others try to end it by the knife.
Trying to get out of this cruel dream,
Sometimes all we can do is scream.
There are others like you out there,
You might not yet know where.
But they try to overcome it,
That's something not all will admit.

Dear Poetry,
I am trying to cover my sadness with words.
Tape them against my scars
& wear them like worthy paper cuts.
My tears are alcohol swabs, burning & cleansing
wounds of my own making. Sometimes,
I wish I could hide behind them forever.
But not even this journeyed flesh can stand
castle strong against speechless ink stains.
I know the code. This body does not deserve
a warriors death. & poetry, you're a monster—
a creative monster, but evil nonetheless.
I wish to string you into knots, force feed you
down the throats of others. De-format you
& leave you empty; freeversed-
to hang loosely along the heartstrings
of strangers

No I'm not really sad or jealous over him being happy, because he is amazing and deserves every happiness... but I do know this feeling that I am writing about and I think other people can relate to it as well.

But it can also give you hope,
Light your darkend out roads,
Show you happiness,
Lend support.
Just a kind word from miles away
Can brighten up your gloomy day.
Its beautiful in the end,
No matter what.
No I'm not really sad or jealous over him being happy, because he is amazing and deserves every happiness... but I do know this feeling that I am writing about and I think other people can relate to it as well.
